Terms of Engagement
The terms that govern your use of YourSolicitor.com and your participation in legal proceedings.
1. About YourSolicitor.com
YourSolicitor.com is operated by Costello Global Technology, Level 5, Carolina Court, Giuseppe Cali Street, Ta’ Xbiex XBX 1425, Malta. We are a legal technology platform, not a law firm. Legal services in connection with any claim are provided by our regulated partner firms, who are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
2. What You Are Agreeing To
By completing the registration form on YourSolicitor.com, you are providing your information for the purpose of assessing your eligibility to participate in group litigation proceedings. You are not entering into a retainer with a solicitor at the point of registration. If your case is assessed as eligible, you will be invited to enter into a formal client care agreement with the instructed solicitor firm.
3. Eligibility Assessment
The registration form and subsequent screening process are designed to assess your potential eligibility for group litigation. The assessment is not a diagnosis and does not constitute legal advice. An assessment that you have a "strong potential claim" or a "potential claim" is a preliminary indication only and does not guarantee that your claim will be pursued or that it will succeed.
4. Costs
There is no upfront cost to register or to participate in the screening process. If your claim proceeds, legal costs are handled through one of the following arrangements: a Damages-Based Agreement (DBA) where the solicitor's fee is a percentage of any damages recovered; a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA) on a "no win, no fee" basis; or third-party litigation funding where an external funder covers legal costs in exchange for a share of any recovery. The specific fee arrangement will be set out in the client care agreement you enter into with the instructed solicitor.
5. Your Obligations
You agree to provide accurate and truthful information in your registration and screening responses. You agree to respond to reasonable requests for additional information from the legal team. You agree to inform us of any material change in your circumstances that may affect your claim.
6. Withdrawal
You may withdraw from the process at any time by contacting us. If you withdraw before a formal retainer is entered into, your data will be deleted within 30 days. If you withdraw after entering into a retainer with the instructed solicitor, the terms of that retainer will govern the withdrawal process.
7. Limitation of Liability
YourSolicitor.com provides a technology platform for claimant registration and assessment. We do not provide legal advice. The content on this website, including information about court verdicts, regulatory findings, and legal processes, is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. You should not rely on this information as a substitute for professional legal advice.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on YourSolicitor.com, including text, design, code, and trademarks, is owned by Costello Global Technology unless otherwise stated. You may share links to this website but may not reproduce its content without permission.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
